The radical change in lifestyle that has happened to all of us in recent weeks also affects our approach to appearance: we do makeup less, our hands dry, and in general there is a temptation not to wash ourselves until the end of confinement.
I figure out how to turn the situation in our own favor.
Do not hammer on yourself
Quarantine, observation, self-isolation – no matter what the current state of affairs is called, it is important that we are all constantly forced to be at home.
There is a great desire not to get out of bed (even if you are working on a laptop), brush your teeth every two days and not wash your hair – why not, if no one sees it anyway?
In fact, personal hygiene is directly related to mental: neglecting it is one of the first symptoms of depression.
Daily shower, clean hair and body, minimal physical activity – a necessary minimum for maintaining your own mental health.
Pay attention to hand care
Antiseptics, sanitizers and constant hand washing – the right way to serious dryness. Replace your regular soap with cream soap with moisturizing additives – for example, with oils or panthenol.
And even if you have naughty skin, now is the time to get a hand cream, and preferably two: put one, lighter, near the sink, so as not to forget to use it after each wash and use a more dense tool at night.
If you go out in latex gloves, apply the cream under them too – due to the greenhouse effect, it will work even better than without them.
Even if you work a lot at home, most likely you will have a couple of minutes to put a mask on your face or hair – and spend all the time in it, which is always lacking in ordinary life, when you have to run to the office in the morning.
Pay attention to fabric and hydrogel masks – now is the time to start using them.
Do not forget that neither cream nor leaf masks should dry out on your face – to prevent this from happening, spray the mask with thermal water and remove it in time.
Change (or get) body cream
Body cream is another useful thing that many did not have enough time in the pre-quarantine time.
If the skin is very dry, buy a pharmacy cream for dehydrated skin, and if the situation is not critical, cream or milk of any cosmetic brand will be enough – the main thing is to use it regularly.
If you like perfumes, it’s probably the right time to start a cream with the aroma of your favorite perfumes: it may be uncomfortable to use perfume in the room, but the light smell of the cream is the best thing.
Stick to beauty rituals
Many of us in quarantine lack a regime: now that there are no external regulations, sticking to a certain rhythm can become difficult and we forget what day it is.
Come up with beauty rituals: for example, Sunday is the day of scrubs and deep moisturizing, and on Thursdays you make clay masks.
Add self-massage to daily evening care – now is the best moment to learn how to do it.
And do not spare time – now that many of us are locked at home with partners and children, devoting some part of the day to ourselves is especially important to ourselves.
Try a new makeup
Self-isolation is a great time to open makeup horizons. Many tricks, such as arrows, are given only through practice – and when to practice, if not now?
You can even learn complex things, for example, the cut crease technique (there are enough tutorials on YouTube), or try unusual make-ups that your hands have not reached before, for example, sprinkle with glitter or paste rhinestones.
In addition to the fun and pleasure of new skills, makeup also perfectly helps to tune into the working mood at the beginning of the day.
Learn to do manicure at home
Home manicure scares many who are used to going to the master once every couple of weeks – especially those who are used to gel polish.
In fact, there is nothing complicated in treating your hands yourself: it is enough to stock up with minimal resources (files, wooden sticks, cuticle remover, if necessary) and patience.
If you like color, order yourself a set of bright varnishes – learning to paint nails is easier than it seems, but for many this practice is generally as meditation: you focus only on yourself, breathe slowly, draw neat lines.
Perhaps at the end of quarantine you will learn how to do a manicure so well that you will save on the master.
