I wanted to share with you photos and impressions of a decorative care product that, without exaggeration, has become my must-have – Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil.
Why is this my must-have?
To become one, any lip care product must meet three conditions:
1) visually pleasing and user-friendly design
2) lack of harm to the skin of the lips, comfortable wearing
3) the decoration of my appearance
So, Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil lip oil in a shade of 015 Cherry fully corresponds to them.
It really suits me well as a care product and may well replace my beloved Dior Addict Lip Maximizer, which differs from it with a thicker and gel texture and the absence of tingling, typical of a plumper.
Their smell is the same: sweet-mint, very pleasant and lasting. He also has no taste.
Oil moisturizes the lips, nourishes them, after it they are very soft and gentle. Red spots from wounds on the lips pass without a trace literally the next day.
Who knows firsthand how unpleasant it is when your lip is cracked, will be glad to know that there is no irritation, tingling from this oil, so that it can be safely applied even to very weathered lips.
It also hides and eliminates peeling well. Lips do not dry.
It is very comfortable to wear oil: it does not stick lips, but the hair sticks to it, of course – you don’t expect anything else from a product declared as “oil”.
The texture of the lips does not emphasize, it does not gather at the junction of the lips, it lasts a long time, until completely absorbed (with water/coffee, but without food!) 4-5 hours pass. After this, a pink tint remains, but not acidic, but very tender.
To apply on all lips, one immersion of the sponge in the oil is enough, I use one side of it for the lower lip, the other for the upper.
You can apply more, there will be no busting – the sponge will still pick up the excess. By the way, the sponge itself is very convenient: it does not draw out excess oil, it will always be exactly as much as necessary.
I will highlight the visual component as a separate plus: I really like the mirror effect on the lips in combination with a light translucent shade.
It is clear that the oil will not overlap the color of the lips, but it is able to give them a delicate cherry-pink shade.
Also I really liked the design itself: the glass edges, the signature Dior Addict lid, the effect of lollipop in the glass – an aesthetically pleasing tool!
They also suggest using it as a topcoat, applying it over lipstick for a mirror-shine effect, but I did not appreciate this method: the sponge gets dirty, the lipstick from the oil dissolves.
Here, on top of the Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm, it looks and wears well, but I don’t see the point of using two translucent care products at once.
In general, this is a very pleasant and comfortable tool that performs all the declared functions and gives me pleasure in using. Care, beauty, aesthetics – everything is fine.
